Moved

We are moved. We have everything out of our four bedroom rental house, and are almost settled in our two bedroom apartment. Most is unpacked, lots of almost mint condition stuff was given away, a few boxes will remained packed. (Also most all of the food storage is in my bedroom. Either in the closet, under the bed, or in stacks against the wall.) My children's bedroom is much larger than the last, and I love all the space it gives us. We have lots of closets, and plush newer carpets. J has two friends that live within 10 steps of our front door, and I'm sure lots more around the corner. There are children in this ward, which is a nice relief. N babe got her head bashed in by a 7 month old girl during sunday school (N babe is also 7 mo) so all is good. We have already met lots of people who are in similar stages of life, with kids. I will post pictures soon.
But I'm not quite sure if I'm ready for my sabbatical to be up. When I started my blog I personally knew no mommy blogs, I rarely talked about my son. Two years later my blog revolves around my children, during this sabbatical without internet in my house, I had time to reflect on that. I'm not quite sure how I feel about having a mommy blog. So we'll see how this ends up the next few weeks.

P.S. Overall I'm enjoying twitter, wish I personally knew more people that used it. I like it much better that facebook. But can't wait for twitter 2.0-- one with less hacking, and no porn subscriptions trying to follow me. I feel like I'm using AOL IM back in the 90s. If we could get rid of those two things, I would love twitter.

  1. I like twitter better than facebook too. Wish I knew more people personally as well who used it.

  3. I like your "mommmy blog", probably because I know you and your kids personally. I like seeing how they are growing and changing, BUT, if I didn't know someone on a personal level, then I wouldn't really want to read a mommy blog. So, it goes both ways, I guess you just have to decide who the audiance is. Glad your move was good. Now I think I should go unpack a few more things...
ps) you must be a super mom because I am not even close to being "moved in" even though we have been here for 3 months :)
