My son has a habit of not wanting to go to bed, but he doesn't leave his room. Instead he likes to give his parents heart attacks in his effort to reach out to us. Even when we know his hand is there, still to turn around and see a hand sticking out of the door, makes your heart jump in fear.
Sometimes he falls asleep like this. But we move him back to his bed before we go to bed, because it makes it rather challenging to open the door. My husband always makes sure to go to bed with all walk ways clear in case of an emergency.
That little hand is so adorable.

ReplyDeleteHe gets the clear pathway thing from our Dad. I got it too. Even if the house is a mess, I try to move stuff out of the pathways so that we can get out in an emergency, or someone can get in to save us. It really stresses me out that no one else in the family sees this as a real need at bed time. Some times when I wake up in the morning and see that there is a chair in the pathway to the door, and that we slept all night in such a dangerous way, I get mad that "someone" didn't move it. I don't think my husband understands how much it bothers me.
